Alesia Glidewell is a creator and director with an impressive body of work; including features, shorts, web series, commercial campaigns, and documentaries. Originally, she is known for her work at the forefront of branded content and new media, where she creatively and fiscally led YouTube channels, consistently putting out viral hits and organically viewed series. Today, she directs cinematic content across all platforms with emotional truth and authenticity at the core.
Over the years, Glidewell has developed, directed, produced, and overseen advertising and creative content for Fortune 500 brands and some of the largest studios in the world, including Disney, Netflix, Paramount, MGM, and Sony Music. A lucrative background as a voice-over and motion capture artist for games such as Portal, Sly Cooper, Starfox, and Fear led to her co-create a software-based action figure company that garnered the attention of Shark Tank, followed by a deal with Mark Cuban.
Her filmmaking career began in 2007 as a semi-finalist for Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett’s reality show competition for filmmaking. Her most recent short film, Demo-Lition, premiered at the Pan African Film Festival, and the feature biopic she directed for Imani Entertainment, Aftershock: The Nicole Bell Story, has attracted interest from several EPs, including Jay Z and Roc Nation.
